About:

The Tuskegee Airmen Memorial was dedicated on September 15, 2013 to commemorate the legacy of the almost 100 Tuskegee Airmen who hailed from Western Pennsylvania and overcame racial prejudice and discrimination while becoming our country’s first military pilots. Mitchell Higginbotham, who died in February 2016, was the first Tuskegee Airman to be buried at the memorial.
