The CAF Red Tail Squadron is a volunteer-driven 501c3 charitable organization. The operation of the Squadron’s red-tailed P51-C Mustang fighter, Tuskegee Airmen, and the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibition is dependent on donations and the proceeds from selling books, clothing items and art in the online store.
We have no problem asking people to give because we know the educational mission is so worthwhile and people like to give their charitable dollars to good causes. We only have one paid full-time staff person so administrative costs are low.
We try to make it easy to donate. Take a minute to look at the donor options and choose one that’s right for you. You can donate online using a credit or debit card, or download a form and mail it to us with a check or money order. We know that one size doesn’t fit all but we do appreciate every dollar. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
The $99 annual sponsorship program is a particular donor favorite. Why $99? To honor and remember the 99th Fighter Squadron, the first Tuskegee Airmen squadron to be activated. This option costs less than 28ยข a day and participants get great thank-you gifts: a special Sponsor hat, the book Red Tail – Rising Above Adversity to Fly Again, and the Red Tail Mail quarterly newsletter.
