Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum and The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Red Tail Squadron are hosting the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit from August 12 to 19, 2014.  The Museum will open at 10:00 am and close at 5:00 pm.

This traveling exhibit highlights the inspiring story of the Tuskegee Airmen with a big screen, theatrical experience.

Make plans now to attend the Rocky Mountain Air Show on August 22-24, 2014 at the new location at the Greeley-Weld Airport in Greeley, Colorado.

The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will be there – just waiting for you!

Don’t miss the excitement on Friday evening – gates open at 4:00 pm. – with the aerial performances (complete with pyrotechnics), high powered sport rocket launch and spectacular fireworks demonstration. There might even be an ‘out-of-this-world’ surprise in store…

Tillsonburg, Ontario – Make plans now to attend the Ontario’s South Coast Airshow on Saturday, August 23, 2014.   There will be a wide variety of performers.  The CAF Red Tail Squadron’s P-51C Mustang will be performing.  Other acts include Aerobatic Performances, various Jets and Warbirds as well as a Sky Dive Team.  The Canadian Harvard Association will also be performing and offering their popular flight experience on the day of the Show.

The P-51C Mustang will be performing at the Brantford Rotary Charity Airshow on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

Prepare to be amazed at the 13th Annual Airshow in Brantford!Bring a lawn chair, and claim your spot front-row-centre, right on the tarmac in the heart of the action.  Catch that perfect photo as the aircraft take off from the runway directly in front of you, collect autographs throughout the day from performers, and help pack a parachute.  There is something for every member of the family!

The Rotary Charity Airshow on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 will be a spectacular showcase of Military aircraft as well as stunning aerobatic performances, local performers and other surprises.  With a crowd average of 15,000 people each year, this show delivers affordable family-friendly entertainment. The Charity Airshow is unique for not having an admission fee, but donations accepted upon entry support local Children’s Charities.

Parking on site is available for $10 per vehicle, where you are only a short distance from the viewing area.  Accessible parking and golf carts are available.

The Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron is dedicated to telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, America’s first black military pilots and their support personnel who fought discrimination and prejudice in order to serve their country during World War II. Enter this immersion exhibit and watch the epic 30 minute film, RISE ABOVE, on a 180-degree curved movie screen. This one-of-a-kind exhibit in a climate controlled movie theater provides a multimedia experience you will not forget. The theater can seat 30 people at each viewing – every 30 minutes. The film aims to inspire youth and preserve the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, whose courage and determination to overcome obstacles continues to impact us 60 years later. This event is possible through the generous support of the Hevelone Foundation.

You can also enjoy art and living history activities all weekend during the Labor Day Weekend Art Extravaganza at Homestead National Monument.

Ontario, Canada – Canadian International Air Show @ Canadian National Exhibition

The CIAS takes place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada over Lake Ontario and is best viewed at the southwest waterfront grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), south of the bandshell. Show-centre is located directly in front of our VIP Guest Enclosure and the best viewing locations include the CNE grounds and our VIP Guest Enclosure for which a very limited number of tickets are available for purchase.

Bill Shepard will be flying the P-51C Mustang in the show.
