The CAF Red Tail Squadron will bring it’s message of inspiration to Thunder over Utah. The P-51C Mustang will fly in the show and be on display by the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit. Make plans now to attend this exciting air show that features the Blue Angels.
The CAF Red Tail Squadron is pleased to announce that they will be attending the Pikes Peak Regional Airshow on August 9-10, 2014 at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Make plans now to attend and see the free RISE ABOVE movie. The Mustang will also be on display and will perform during the show.
We are looking for a perfect location for our RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit in the Denver area. The Red Tail Squadron’s P51 Mustang will be piloted over the field in a graceful display of its speed and agility. The Mustang will NOT be on static display, but after the flight, Bill Shepard will be on site to sign autographs. Make plans now to attend to see the Mustang’s performance and look for the Tuskegee Airman Tent. The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will not be on site either – the Exhibit will be in Denver, Colorado. Don’t miss the excitement on Friday evening – gates open at 4:00 pm. – with the aerial performances (complete with pyrotechnics), high powered sport rocket launch and spectacular fireworks demonstration. There might even be an ‘out-of-this-world’ surprise in store…
Saturday the gates open at 9:00 am. with more flying and excitement until the gates close at 5:00 pm.
Ontario – Make plans now to attend the Ontario’s South Coast Airshow on Saturday, August 23, 2014. There will be a wide variety of performers. The CAF Red Tail Squadron’s Mustang will be performing. Other acts include Aerobatic Performances, various Jets and Warbirds as well as a Sky Dive Team. The Canadian Harvard Association will also be performing and offering their popular flight experience on the day of the Show.
The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will be showing our RISE ABOVE movie while at the Homestead National monument on Thursday through Monday, August 29 – September 1, 2014. Plan now to join us and the living history activities that are planned for this special weekend.

The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will be on display at the Alfonza W. Davis Middle School. Students will be scheduled from area schools. If you want to see the RISE ABOVE movie, contact Robert Rose to set up a time for you and your group to see the movie. We can accommodate 30-35 during each movie showing. On Saturday, the Mustang may be in the area for static display. Details are still being worked out.
The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will be set up at the Hillyard Technical Center beginning on Tuesday, September 9 through Friday, September 12. The P-51C Mustang will be at the Airport on Friday afternoon and Saturday, September 13, 2014. Make plans now to attend these events. “Let Freedom Ring” will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lonesome Pine Airport in Wise, Virginia. Educational event and fly-in featuring the Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron P51-C Mustang and “Rise Above” Traveling Exhibit, and the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation with their C-54 “Spirit of Freedom.” A candy drop for the kids commemorating the one that took place during the Berlin Airlift will take place on Saturday, September 20th. The event is sponsored by EAA Chapter 1416 and the Cumberlands Airport Commission.
